Certificate III in Investigative Services PRS30303

This nationally accredited DEST/AQTF course is designed for people aspiring to peruse a career in the commercial investigation sector.

The Certificate III in Investigative Services PRS30303 replaces the previous Certificate IV in Investigative Services PRS40498.  Persons who hold the previous Cert IV are not required to do this new Cert III Course. The new Certificate III is required in all states of Australia for investigation practice licensing purposes and also forms part of the accreditation qualifications required by the National Body – the (Australian Institute of Private Detectives) for a person to secure a National Practicing Certificate. 

This qualification should be held by ALL persons involved in the investigations process within any organisation including fraud managers, internal investigators, section heads, field agents, investigation claims and standards monitoring officers who vet investigation related reports, OH&S Consultants who conduct Workplace Investigations, OH&S Managers & Safety Officers who conduct investigations, accountants that conduct financial investigations, asset tracing and investigations into the business activities of any person, commercial agents and so on.

Note: Investigation Licensing under State & Territory legislations may not be required by some of the abovementioned occupations however there is an inherent obligation under the various OH&S Acts and Regulations for those persons to be properly trained and qualified to perform their duties.  The OH&S laws also require the application of ‘due diligence’ as well as requirements to meet national training standards, industry Codes of Practice, industry standards and guidelines. How Do I Gain the Qualification?

To gain the Certificate III in Investigative Services PRS30303, candidates need to demonstrate competency in 12 Core Units plus 5 Elective Units.

RPL or direct credits are available for those participant’s that can evidence competency in any Units of the course, via prior experience or qualifications.

Delivery of this course can also be offered Face-to-Face in scheduled group numbers and various locations, also at your offices by appropriate arrangement and combination of Face to face and Distance Learning.

 

How much is your investment?

A participant may not have any previous experience or qualifications in this particular area so they would need to undertake the whole course. The cost would be less for someone who has completed some of the units previously (and receives direct credit) or has been working in this field for a number of years and applies for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
